Most directories contain a hidden directory named .snapshot, which serves as your lifeline. Here, you'll discover a daily backup featuring a snapshot of your data. These backups are retained for 7 days, though this duration may vary if there's a shortage of disk space. Consequently, it's unwise to depend solely on the assumption that you can always retrieve your files within 7 days; the window for retrieval may be shorter.
In every folder, you'll encounter a daily snapshot of the files you possessed on that specific day.
As an example: 'Research_performance_repl_reduced _7d_2022-12-07_17:00' refers to files from 7 December 2022 at 17.00.
To restore a file from the backup, you must copy it from the snapshot location to the destination folder. Keep in mind that you cannot delete any files in the .snapshot folder since it's designated as a read-only directory.
