2025-02-18 [Mjolnir] - UCPH IT Research systems - Extraordinary Service Maintenance Friday, 28 February at 17:00 - Sunday, 2 March at 17:00 - downtime!

Dear all,

I have just been informed that we will have maintenance on the storage system in the following period:

Timeframe: Friday, 28 February at 17:00 - Sunday, 2 March at 17:00

This means the following:

1. Jobs already scheduled to run longer than 28 February at 17:00 will be re-queued or killed shortly before the downtime. If they finish before, then they will not be re-queued or killed.
2. It will not be possible to extend the wall time of running jobs beyond 28 February at 17:00 
3. Jobs submitted from now on extending the deadline will not start before Sunday, 2 March at 17:00 when the maintenance has finished. Keep this in mind when submitting new jobs and be more careful with your wall time reservation

As per many requests, I will one of the coming days send an email regarding how to best copy/move your data to the new location, as announced Friday, plus suggestions for how to organise the data. 

Please do not use the “mv”, “cp” or “scp” commands for relocating large amount of data. Rsync is the protocol to use.
